New Technique

I learned and tested a new technique called HDR or High Dynamic Range. It is basically meant to create a picture that captures the dramatic elements of the scene better than your memory. So I drove down to Utah Lake, shot a few frames, came home and tried it out. I think it looks pretty cool.

A Bit of a Change

When I shoot landscape, I'm taken back to my childhood. Taking pictures of landscapes is where I gained my earliest experience in photography. It's so peaceful and relaxing to be alone in nature. Landscape photography is a bit different than portraiture; to get the shot I want, I am used to just moving the people around until it looks good. Shooting landscape, if you want the good shot, you have to move yourself until the shot looks good. Utah is a very beautiful place.
